Doubts in Religion.

Religion, a life choice/ belief system that can separate human beings from one another. Strength and types of religions have the been issue of many conflicts over the years, constantly in the media spotlight, and under scrutiny. Even now the world is "fighting" Islam extremists that are overpowering Christians for their belief systems and killing many in the proclamation of their Allah. Now, in the film Doubt, we encounter a Nun who deep down is struggling with what she believes and to my opinion takes her frustration out on the head Priest. Reason being he applied him self to a situation that caused doubt into his real intentions as a Priest. Not doubt in faith though, but doubt into the idea of a misconduct with a child. Amidst all of the pressure to confess to something he denied countless times, it was his actions of leaving that gave me doubts to his real innocence.
Much like Christians, we being pressured into denying our God by ISIS and if they proclaim the Quran will they not be executed. Which make people doubtful, begging the question: is their faith strong enough to proclaim their Lord and Savior, knowing the outcome. Personally, I am doubtful of my answer, because no one knows what they will say until that dreadful time comes.
Nevertheless everyone, even though they may not ever be in these situations, still encounter struggles of faith, or doubts in activities throughout their everyday lives. It's not uncommon. Movies depict these issues so often that they are typically overlooked for the sake of "are we really looking for their problem or so we really think it's a problem". Typically people of the certainty, struggle with the most doubt. Over confidence can be just as bad as insecurities. Yet, we tend to not totally realize these things unless it's completely said out in the open. Because these are typically portrayed as internal struggles. Struggles not totally seen by the naked eye, but heard by the ear. Opening your mind, realizing that even people of the Church or in religious organizations, all have doubts and cause doubt in others. It's almost become a natural unnerving act. Dig deeper, explore, and learn about who you are. This way you can help minimize doubt in who you are and what you believe, so when you get a moment to shine, you can shine like a fiery Phoenix.

  1. Faith is a tough topic to be certain of. It is to believe even when there is no evidence. Like you say about ISIS, Wars have been fought all the time with the guise of Religion. The Holy Crusades by the Christian, The Thirty Years War, The French Wars of Religion, The Jihad under the Ottoman Empire. There are many wars that are fought with the Headline of religion that are not always what they seem. Most is fought for land or to show that the ones who win have the might to rule. But what do we really know? History is written by the victory so what we have learned may all be lies told so many times that they become truth.
